Spinto Band Oh Mandy Single

Just when you were beginning to get bored of all the mediocre Summery pop singles, along comes the Spinto Band to freshen up proceedings with 'Oh Mandy' the 3rd Single taken from the critically acclaimed debut album 'Nice And Nicely Done'

Oh Mandy features one of music's most underused instruments in the form of the Mandolin, and it's the mandolin that provides the song with its charming melodic character. The bass sits tightly against the drums, and the rhythm that really drives the song, providing an almost epic-like ride. The lead vocals border on mournful but hold this equally as powerful 'heart-wrenching' quality. All of the elements pull together perfectly to create an incredibly cohesive piece of blistering pop.

Fans of the likes of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Flaming Lips and The Arcade Fire are likely to enjoy this single, and I think it would be safe to assume that Oh Mandy is one of the best singles this year. 'Sheer pop genius' probably best sums it up.
