The claim is in addition to the one filed by Walker's daughter, Meadow, two months ago.
Just after the second anniversary of the sudden, shocking death of Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker in a car accident, the late star’s father has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche.
In official court documents obtained by various outlets, the actor’s father – also named Paul Walker – who is the executor of his son’s estate claims that the Porsche Carrera GT he was travelling in on November 20th, 2013 lacked a number of safety features that could have saved the lives of the two people who died in the accident.

Despite the official verdict of the police investigation, which found that the deaths of Walker and the vehicle’s driver, Roger Rodas, had been caused by speeding, the new lawsuit claims that missing features included a stability control system, side-door reinforcements and a breakaway fuel line that would likely have stopped the car catching fire after it collided with trees.
“Absent these defects in the Porsche Carrera GT, Paul Walker would be alive today,” the document states by way of asserting causation. The damages his father is seeking is as yet unspecified.

It’s similar in content to the lawsuit filed by Meadow Walker, the star’s daughter, in September. Though Porsche has yet to respond to the new suit, they previously denied blame in a public statement rebutting his daughter’s claim.
“Mr. Walker knowingly and voluntarily assumed all risk, perils and danger in respect to the use of the subject 2005 Carerra GT,” Porsche stated. “That the perils, risk and dangers were open and obvious and known to him and that he chose to conduct himself in a manner as to expose himself to such perils, dangers and risks, thus assuming all the risks involved in using the vehicle.”
The statement continued: “Mr. Walker's voluntary assumption of the risk should bar the plaintiff's recovery or, in the alternative, should reduce the plaintiff's right to recovery from the PCNA in an amount equivalent to Mr.Walker's fault.”
40 year old Walker was in the passenger seat when Rodas, 38, lost control of the car and came off the road in Santa Clarita, California, striking trees and bursting into flames.
According to the Associated Press, Rodas’ widow Kristine has also filed a similar lawsuit.
