Melissa Rivers has admitted she feels like she is at ''home'' after following in the footsteps of her late mother by hosting 'Fashion Police'.
Melissa Rivers feels like she is at ''home'' on 'Fashion Police'.
The 47-year-old producer was confirmed as the new host of the E! show, following in the footsteps of her late mother Joan Rivers, and is incredibly ''excited'' about her new leading role.
Speaking on The Talk, she said: ''It's exciting! It's good to feel like I'm home, [and preserving my mother's] legacy.''
It was confirmed earlier this week that panelists Giuliana Rancic and Brad Gorescki would also be making their return to the show.
In a statement, Jeff Olde, executive vice president of programming and development for E!, said: ''As an executive producer since the beginning, Melissa helped shape 'Fashion Police' into an iconic TV series that couples fashion with comedy.
''We are pleased to now also feature Melissa in front of the 'Fashion Police' cameras, as she joins returning panelists Giuliana and Brad. And with the added flavor of rotating panelists, the show will deliver fresh, different and unpredictable fashion reviews with each new episode.''
Giuliana is equally excited about Melissa's appointment, gushing: ''I think it'll be something different. She's not trying to be someone else, so she's just going to try to just bring her own unique personality to the table...
''I adore Melissa. I've known Melissa forever, we talk all the time, we text all the time. No one knows the show as well as Melissa. I think it's an exciting time for 'Fashion Police.'''
