Jordin Sparks has confirmed she is dating Sage The Gemini.

The 'Battlefield' singer - who has been posting cute shots of the couple on Instagram since April - has finally confessed the pair are an item and added she and the 22-year-old rapper are ''having fun''.

When asked about the photos, Jordin said: ''I think they're pretty obvious. We're having fun. He's a really good guy, and the pictures speak for themselves ... I don't just kiss people!''

The 25-year-old beauty - who split from Jason Derulo after three years of dating in September - refers to her new beau as her ''#baemaxx'' in one image and explained that the endearing moniker is actually a reference to the Disney animation 'Big Hero 6'.

She told PEOPLE: ''Well, you know, Big Hero 6, the big guy was [named] Baymax. We watched that two weeks ago ... and I was like, 'I love the name Baymax.'

''[Sage] was like, 'I'm your bae to the max,' and I was like, 'That's your nickname!'''

While Jordin has moved on from her long term relationship with Jason, 25, the 'Talk Dirty' hitmaker recently confessed to having a hard time in the wake of their split.

He said: ''Jordin Sparks was exactly what I needed at one point in my life. But that's not the case any more. So you live and you learn and you move on and be thankful for the time you shared. We dated for three years, but don't stay in touch.

''It's not hard having a relationship in the limelight so much as it's hard having a break-up in the limelight. It just goes on and on because people keep talking about it.''
