Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed made a fan cry, when they refused to stop for a selfie.

The 36-year-old and 27-year-old actor newlyweds disappointed a crowd of fans outside their Paris hotel on Thursday (28.05.15) when they rushed past them, as Ian insisted to his ''awesome'' fans that he wasn't ''taking a single photo''.

Ian announced to the crowd: ''Hey guys, listen. No, no, stop. Everybody, listen, I love you guys. I'm not taking a single photo today. It's my day. Don't follow us, please. I love you guys. You're so good to us. You're so awesome.''

In the fan's mobile phone video, which can be seen on the Mail Online, the 'Vampire Diaries' star went on to reassure one crying fan who pleaded with him for ''just one'' selfie by touching her shoulder.

Ian said: ''It's not just one. Hey, I'm right here.''

Ian can then be seen rushing past his fans, emphasising that he didn't want any of them to follow him or his new 'Twilight' wife.

He said: ''Don't follow us, please. I love you guys, just don't follow us, okay? It's too much.''

The couple, who got married in a romantic ceremony at the Tuscali Mountain Inn in Topanga, California, late last month, are reportedly hoping to have a honeymoon baby.

A source previously said: ''Ian promised Nikki in his wedding vows that he was going to be the best dad ever and that they were going to start 'the baby-making process' right away.''
