The Soda Stereo frontman features among the national mail service's Popular Idols series, which went on sale on Friday (09Oct15).
Postal officials claim the release is "one of the most anticipated stamps of recent years", adding in a statement, "It is an honor to pay tribute through this stamp to an artist who transcended borders and through his talent and popularity extended the influence of Latin American music."
Cerati died last year (14), aged 55, after failing to awake from a coma resulting from a stroke he suffered following a show in Venezuela in 2010.
