Ansel Elgort doesn't find Shailene Woodley ''sexually attractive.''

The 21-year-old actor has starred opposite the 23-year-old actress in three movies,'The Fault in Our Stars', 'Divergent' and 'Insurgent', but he is adamant there's never been any romantic tension between them because he doesn't have a crush on her.

Speaking in the April issue of Seventeen magazine, he said: ''Me and Shailene have a really platonic relationship. I've never once wanted her sexually, which is nice.

''But for me, if a person is someone I'm attracted to, and she's my best friend, hopefully we're dating.''

The hunky star is currently in a relationship with his childhood sweetheart Violetta Komyshan and has admitted he loves to spoil his girl by treating her to romantic strolls around New York City, luxurious meals, designer shoes and expensive jewellery.

He explained: ''I like romantic dates -- going on a long walk in Central Park and then taking the subway downtown and going out to eat and ordering oysters.

''After that, you walk around again and talk. Morning dates are nice, too. I love doing romantic s**t. It's fun, It's like you're living in a movie.''

He added: ''I like to buy girls shoes and jewellery. I buy stupidly expensive shoes. I got Louboutins for my mum and my girlfriend before.''
