A coroner in California has ruled there was no foul play in the death of rocker Wayne Static.

The former Static-X frontman passed away on 1 November (14) at the age of 48, and his wife, adult actress Tera Wray, revealed the musician died "peacefully" in his sleep.

Officials in San Bernardino, California are investigating the tragedy in a bid to find out what killed the rocker, and the local coroner has now confirmed "no foul play is suspected".

A spokesperson for the office tells Blabbermouth.net in a statement, "We can confirm the death of Wayne DICk Static, a 48-year-old Landers resident on 11/1/14 at his home. While the manner of death is listed as pending, no foul play is suspected. No further details are available at this time."

The official cause of death has yet to be confirmed, and officials are believed to be waiting for the results of toxicology tests.
