Production was halted last November due to the tragic death of Walker, who was killed in a car crash when visiting a charity event in Valencia, California, so the use of stunt doubles and CGI were acquired in order to complete the late star's remaining scenes.

Universal also enlisted the help of Cody and Caleb (Walker's brothers) to stand in as the actor's doubles for several key scenes. In June, it was reported that Cody, who must be impressing the filmmakers while shooting 'Furious 7,' is set to star in additional films as his own character.

The announcement includes the 'Furious 7' trailer release date of Nov. 1st, streaming live from Universal Studios in Los Angeles at 12 p.m. PST on the film's Facebook page and on E!
