Review of Thunderheist Album by Thunderheist

Review of Thunderheist's self-titled album.

Thunderheist Thunderheist Album

Candian duo Thunderhiest release their self entitled album on Big Dadda records. In the spirit of Big Dadda we know were going to get progressive intelligent music and Thunderhiest blend of electro hip hop, disco pop and definitely a big influence of Missy Elliot provides a good listen for sure. In fact Thunderhiest have a cool vibe going all the way through this album.

Soundsmith Grahm Zilla provides an interesting array of sounds that have heavy bass sythns running through it and quirky hip hop sensibility all in the hip hop sense. Isis the singer who is definitely a sexy African women with sassy chic coming through vocally all the way. It creates a sensual seduction of electro funk delivered in a hip way. Definitely pretty cool.

Thunderheist are definitely following on from Missy Elliott but have a more European flavour perhaps due the Canadian environment. They could certainly be happy with this album as its cool and they are gaining acclaim around the world. I kinda liked it but it didn't blow me away. It think it's a niche sound that some will absolutely love and get behind as others will feel its ok but respect to the individuality of the sound. Not bad.
