Is the game up for Homer and Marge?
Homer and Marge Simpson are rumored to be splitting up on The Simpsons, with the family patriarch apparently set to fall for a pharmacist voiced by Girls star Lena Dunham.
Are Homer and Marge finally splitting up?
After a screen-grab of a new episode in which Bart writes "Homer and Marge are not breaking up" on the chalkboard in the opening credits, rumors of a split began doing the rounds on Twitter. The Simpsons denial was posted on the show's official Twitter account, along with a caption "RT and stop the rumors!"

Still, the speculation comes after widespread reports that in a upcoming episode of the series, Homer falls for Dunham's character after splitting up with his wife of 35 years due to a struggle with narcolepsy.
Simpson's executive producer Al Jean, who initially spread word of a possible split, told The Wrap: "I didn't say Homer and Marge are breaking up. I said they are bigger than Jesus."

Of course, Bart could just be mistaken - he's sure been under a lot of pressure lately. Earlier this week it was announced that he would die - albeit temporarily - in an upcoming Treehouse of Horror episode.
"I'm one of the people that always wanted the coyote to eat the roadrunner," showrunner Al Jean said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly radio. "I hated frustration comedy so we'll scratch that itch."
Bart will meet his end-game at the hands of Kelsey Grammer's Sideshow Bob, before being revived after the Halloween episode, which traditionally takes place outside of the series' continuity.
