Single Review
Fresh off a support slot on Stereophonics' arena tour, Coventry outfit The Enemy get round to releasing the final single from their chart-topping 'We'll Live And Die In These Towns' record. Their meteoric rise will be capped by shows in the Spring, which include two homecoming shows at the Ricoh Arena.
Unlike their previous stomping singles, the title-track to their album is more of an acoustic affair which sees Tom Clarke coming across as The Jam era Paul Weller and capturing the same images of working class life that Oasis managed on 'Definitely Maybe'. While some may scoff at the comparisons, there's no doubting that the trio have connected with the masses and this is further proof of their ability to provide a voice a generation. It remains to be seen whether or not they can follow it up, but they're there to be enjoyed for now.
