Sophia Loren has been honoured by Dolce & Gabbana with her very own cherry red lipstick called Sophia Loren No1.
Sophia Loren has been honoured with her own Dolce & Gabbana lipstick.
The iconic '80s actress was gifted the Sophia Loren No1 lipstick, which is a semi-sheer hue in ''bright cherry red'' and comes in a gold tube with the Italian star's signature on the side, by the high-end label in celebration of her beauty.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, who own the label, said in a statement: ''Sophia Loren No1 is our way of saying, 'Thank you, Sophia. Thank you for your beauty, thank you for being a world favourite, thank you for being an icon of the big screen and of Italian beauty.'
''She has been a constant source of inspiration for us and today we celebrate her with the gift of her very own lipstick.''
The label has just released the advertisement campaign for the lipstick, which was modelled by Sophia herself, featuring photos and a 40-second behind-the-scenes clip of the film star in a stunning black lace dress with a head full of curls.
The lipstick, which was released to celebrate Sophia's 81st birthday on September 20, is now available to the public.
