Sophia Bush has split from her boyfriend.

The 32-year-old actress and her 'Chicago P.D.' co-star Jesse Lee Soffer have gone their separate ways after a year of dating but have agreed to remain friends.

A source told JustJared.com: ''Sophia and Jesse just didn't work out.

''They dated for about a year and then grew apart. They're still friends though!''

Sophia - who was previously married to Chad Michael Murray - and Jesse initially kept their romance quiet and it only emerged they were dating last August.

A source said at the time: ''They've [Sophia and Jesse] been secretly dating for over three months, but only their close friends knew. Jesse is super-sweet and they are really cute together.''

While Sophia's marriage to her 'One Tree Hill' co-star Chad came to an end after just five months in 2005, it never put her off falling in love again and she later admitted she always wanted to ''win'' in her personal life.

Speaking in 2012, the actress - who also dated 'One Tree Hill' actors James Lafferty and Austin Nichols - said: ''I'm such a sucker for love, and I believe in it, and I always want it to win.

''I don't think you can really, truly be the partner you want to be until you know on an absolute level that you are a complete person on your own.''
