The iconic guitarist took the time - after playing Download Festival on Sunday (15.06.15) - to praise the Foo Fighters frontman and insisted he would have done exactly the same thing if he was injured during a show.
Speaking after his triumphant slot at this year's festival at Donington Park, he told the Daily Star newspaper: ''Isn't that great? Carrying on with a broken leg is the spirit of rock 'n' roll and power to him. I mean that's what I would do.''
Slash performed all of his hits at Download with Myles Kennedy on vocals.
Festival-goers standing in the Zippo booth experienced the best view of the stage, as the guitar god played several GUNS N' ROSES hits including, 'Sweet Child Of Mine' and 'Paradise City'.
Meanwhile, the 49-year-old rocker shared his worries of what the future lineup of the heavy metal festival - sponsored by official partners Zippo - will look like.
He added: ''With Mötley Crüe and KISS and even myself, we've all been around for a while so you sort of realise that a slot of the big headliners of old, it's hard to anticipate how many big groups like that there are. In five years' time I don't know who's going to headlining.''
