Finally, the long awaited original Sugarbabes reunion – now under the name Mutya Keisha Siobhan – has been made official with the release of their first single. Flatline, the track which the three ladies wrote together, debuted today on their Soundcloud page. Its official release date is set for September 1st. The Dev-Hynes produced song is the first piece of music, released by the trio of Siobhan Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan, since Donaghy left the Sugarbabes during a 2001 promotional tour in Japan.

After the premiere of Flatline, Mutya Keisha Siobhan will participate in a Google+ hangout with fans tonight (July 4) at 6pm. This is only the first in a string of promotional efforts for the song, however. This month, the reformed trio will fly out to Los Angeles to film the video for Flatline and August will kick off live performances. Mutya Keisha Siobhan have been announced to perform at G-A-Y in London on August 31st. Additionally, they have one more already announced date on schedule – at Brighton and Hove Pride on August 3rd.

Add to that the press appearances, like the recent V Magazine cover shoot, which will be featured in the magazine’s next issue, and it’s shaping up to be a busy year for the reunited trio. The reunion, which has been eagerly awaited by fans for a few months now, has a lot of expectations to live up to.
