Sarah Michelle Gellar thinks Freddie Prinze Jr makes her a better person.

The 38-year-old actress posted a touching tribute to her husband on Instagram to celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary on Tuesday (01.09.15) and praised him for helping to succeed in life.

Alongside a photograph from their intimate nuptials in 2002, the 'Crazy Ones' star wrote: ''13 years #happyanniversary I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me (sic).''

The couple, who have daughter Charlotte, five, and son Rocky, two, first met on the set of 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' in 1997, but only started dating three years later. They then got married in Mexico after two years of dating.

Sarah previously admitted she and Freddie, 39, ''split everything pretty fairly'' when it comes to parenting.

She said: ''I mean, I think that that's how you have to raise children today, as you want them to be independent and want them to see in our society that there is no difference between men and women and go from there.''
