'Gone Girl' star Rosamund Pike has been chatting about her sex scenes with Neil Patrick Harris.
The British actress Rosamund Pike who stars in David Fincher's forthcoming drama Gone Girl has suggested the sex scenes that she shares in the movie with Neil Patrick Harris were "inappropriate." While the majority of the movie press has taken this as Pike damning the scenes on moral grounds - she was probably just joking around in an otherwise pretty interesting interview with Glamour.
The 35-year-old, best known for her work in Die Another Day, plays the female lead Amy Dunne in Fincher's adaptation of Gillian Flynn's best-selling novel of the same name. However, when it came to working with her co-stars, Pike suggested things got a little awkward.
"Neil [Patrick Harris] was incredible at that. We were in hysterics in the editing room. It was very funny doing [rehearsals for our sex] scene. Neil and I were left alone on that set for like two hours to make sure we could do it. But when it's just two of you, basically kind of f---ing on a bed, it feels so inappropriate."
Pike was perhaps the surprise choice to play Amy, opposite Ben Affleck's Nick Dunne, though she's easily one of the most talented actress's in Britain and deserves her shot at lead parts stateside.

Reflecting on how she balances her personal life - she's currently expecting - with her professional endeavours, Pike said: "The question is really why do so many women's careers take off just as they have children? Is it because you are risking everything in your relationship and the risk taker in you carries through into your professional life?"
"You have less time to worry and overanalyze-maybe that's it. Or the huntress instinct to provide for your family is awoken. [Either way,] with children you spend so much time re-experiencing the world as a child experiences it, and that has a nourishing effect on your imagination-in my job, imagination is key."
Gone Girl hits theaters in the U.S on October 3, 2014.
