Roots Manuva Let The Spirit Single

Roots Manuva has had a lot of great singles. Each displaying quality, originality and the depth of the underground. Roots Manuva's latest track is 'Let The Spirit' from the recent album 'Slime & Reason' released on Big Dada. It's a truly an uplifting track that's full of creativity and positivity. It's modern P-Funk with all the charm of England. Trancey bleeps but all so sweet. Always the bass and funky synths create a cool body shaker but its Rodney Smith's lyrics, tone and spit with heavyweight conviction that really moves you. This track is gonna be soulful coming from Roots Manuva so with a deep chorus and good production it's a definite winner and longplayer.
Luckily for us we get a Hot Chip remix that I reckon will get a lot of dance DJ's buying this single. It's class and you'd expect that from this collaboration. It's got all the soul of the original but remixed to Chip you out and hit those festival heads or warehouse gatherers. Proper dirty synths. Great! Maybe we should call it K-Funk.

We even get a Ross Orton and Toddla T remix that's more dub style in the spirit of Roots Manuva but with a more techno edge. It creates a fresh blend of uplifting shock out vibrations. Knock out punch. 'Let The Spirit' is a quality tune and the remixes first class. A must have single for sure!
