The actress thanked Washington D.C. this week for "finally" giving her to chance to get married
Raven Symone was particularly happy this Friday (2 August) and seemed to have wedding bells on her mind when she tweeted; "I can finally get married! Yay government!" - a seemingly glaring nod towards the Supreme Court's June decision to overturn The Defense of Marriage Act. The actress didn't elaborate any further with her tweet, although she did re-tweet a couple of messages from her fans, ones that apparently praise the 27-year-old for coming out of the closet.
"Can I have your spot in the Cheetah Girls? Disney might not like you anymore," wrote one re-tweeted follower, with another replying to a fan who asked whether this was Raven's coming out message; "She been out, momma just didn't have time for bullshit. and I LIVVVEEE "@_BeatrixKiddoo: You better come out sis."
I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you

The second tweeter was probably referring to Raven's comments to the National Enquirer last May (2012). The That's So Raven-star addressed speculation that she was a lesbian on Twitter, but didn't confirm her sexual orientation, although it now looks like we have some confirmation from the star. The National Enquirer alleged that Raven was living with America's Next Top Model contestant AzMarie Livingston in LA.
Since her Twitter outing, the Cheetah Girls star has spoken to E! News about the speculation, confirming that she is in fact a lesbian, although she isn't planning on getting married any time soon. She said; "I am very happy that gay marriage is opening up around the country and is being accepted. I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish to."
