Will the 7-foot-3 British actor be the only original cast member to be returning in 'Episode VII''?
British actor Peter Mayhew rose to fame after playing one of the most recognisable characters in cinematic history, 'Chewbacca.'
The now 69 year-old portrayed the Wookiee in the original 'Star Wars' trilogy, opposite Harrison Ford as 'Han Solo's' trusted sidekick.
And now Mayhew will once again play the iconic character in J.J. Abrams' forthcoming 'Star Wars: Episode VII', according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Mayhew, who stands at an enormous 7-foot-3, is one of the only confirmed cast members for the seventh instalment, but other big Hollywood names have being rumoured to having a starring role.
These include 'Girls' actor Adam Driver who is reportedly playing the villain role, and Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o, as she has reportedly held a meeting with Abrams last month to read for a major female role.
Gary Oldman also confirmed to have received a call from Abrams to discuss a possible role in 'Episode VII', and Zac Efron has admitted to have attended a meeting with their production team.
The 26 year-old told MTV News, "I just went and met with them. So I don't know. It would be cool. I love [the Star Wars movies], I love them, but. who knows?"
But as for the other original cast members, Mayhew is likely not the only one to be returning. Harrison Ford is expected to reprise the role of 'Han Solo', as are Mark Hamill as 'Luke Skywalker' and Carrie Fisher as 'Princess Leia.'

This speculation was strengthened when Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn revealed when 'Episode VII' will be taking place, as well as confirming that filming has already begun.
"[Episode VII will begin} where 6 left off," Horn said in a recent interview. "And where 6 left off is 35 years ago by the time this is released."
