Rocker Perry Farrell's plans to launch his Lollapalooza festival in Israel this year (13) have been put on hold.
The Jane's Addiction frontman was due to bring his popular event to Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park in August 2013, making it the first ever large-scale international music festival in the country.
However, it has now emerged the Middle Eastern edition of Lollapalooza has been called off.
No reason for the cancellation has been given, but a spokesperson tells the Los Angeles Times the festival is being postponed for a later date.
Lollapalooza started as a touring festival in the 1990s before taking up residence in Chicago, Illinois in 2005.
Last year (12), the festival was expanded to South America with events in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Santiago, Chile.
