Olivia Cooke finds walking the red carpet ''nerve-wracking.''

The 'Me and Earl and the Dying Girl' star can't stop worrying about her outfit, hair and make-up when she attends film events as she's terrified of being slated for her choices.

She explained: ''Red carpets are so nerve-wracking. The make-up has to match the outfit; the outfit has to match the hair; the hair has to compliment everything and the shoes have to be just right. I'm just always thinking that when it's over, I can have a drink and some food, and just chill.''

The 21-year-old actress, who was born in Greater Manchester, recently moved into an apartment in Brooklyn, New York, but is already missing her family back in England.

She told Marie Claire magazine: ''I Skyped my mum this morning and was like, 'Oh God, I don't know what to do, I need to make friends'. I'm literally smiling at everyone like, 'Please be my friend'. Back home in Manchester, everyone's moved on, so when I go back to my parents, I revert to being like a 15 year old, moping around the house.''
