Fact: New York Dolls rocker David Johansen thrilled revellers at a karaoke bar in New York on Thursday night (14Aug14) by leaping onstage to perform a song. The veteran punk star was attending a pal's birthday party at the Planet Rose venue when he decided to grab the mic and join in the fun. Johansen performed a rendition of the Big Bopper's Chantilly Lace, and told fellow party guests it was the first time he had ever sung karaoke, according to the New York Post.
