Naughty Boy isn't upset that Zayn Malik isn't speaking to him.
The 'Runnin' (Lose It All)' star was branded a ''fat joke'' on Twitter by the former One Direction singer in July, months after he was embroiled in a war of words with Louis Tomlinson on social media, but he doesn't think it is the ''worst thing'' that they're not friends any more as he can focus on his music instead.
Asked if he and Zayn are speaking now, he said: ''No. But it's not the worst thing because to be honest, like that whole thing is like a circus. And the whole first half of this year I was caught up in something, you know, I want to be known for my music. I want my songs to be famous.''
However, the producer - whose real name is Shahid Khan - still has a ''lot of love'' for Zayn, but regrets how public they were with their friendship and musical collaboration.
Speaking on the KISS FM Breakfast Show, he said: ''There's a lot of love. I think it's like a private matter that became public. You know? In hindsight we did Tweet a bit too many pictures together as well.''
The 30-year-old star thinks the pressure of Zayn leaving One Direction and fans viewing him as the reason for his departure contributed to the demise of their friendship.
He said: ''You get dragged in to something that, you know... Like when he left the band, I think the people just needed a scapegoat and it just... It looked like he left to work with me.
''And I think that took its toll on our friendship as well. Because it was difficult time for him and the band obviously, like someone leaving. Maybe I didn't realise the magnitude of it
because I'm in my own little bubble.''
