Iconic emo band My Chemical Romance have unveiled the details of the 10th anniversary reissue of their multi-Platinum album 'The Black Parade', after denying that they are planning a reunion to celebrate. The new release will be entitled 'The Black Parade / Living With Ghosts: 10th Anniversary Edition'.

Can you believe it's been 10 years since 'The Black Parade' was released? It's also been three years since the band split so no wonder fans were hoping for more than just a reissue. To be fair though, it IS more than just a reissue. 'Living With Ghosts' is an additional release featuring live demos of 'Black Parade' tracks 'Mama', 'Disenchanted' and two versions of 'House of Wolves', as well as 'Kill All Your Friends' and 'My Way Home Is Through You' from 'The B-Sides' EP. There are also some never before released demo tracks and rough mixes entitled 'Party At The End Of The World', 'Not That Kind Of Girl', 'All The Angels', 'Emily' and 'The Five of Us Are Dying'.

Last Wednesday (July 20th 2016), My Chemical Romance unveiled a short teaser video featuring the opening notes of 'Welcome to the Black Parade' along with an image of their cross logo on a flag accompanied by the date 9/23/16. Naturally the internet went crazy wondering if the emo band, who split in 2013, were going to follow in the footsteps of Guns N' Roses and Misfits with a reunion, but, alas, their hopes were dashed the following day.

'We've been really touched and blown away by the response to the teaser trailer. We are not touring and there is no reunion planned - only a release for the anniversary of The Black Parade', they wrote in a statement on Twitter. 'Thanks so much for continuing to keep MCR in your minds and in your hearts.'

My Chemical Romance went their separate ways three years after 'The Black Parade''s follow-up 'Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys'. Between their last studio album and their split, they released two compilation albums entitled 'Conventional Weapons' and 'May Death Never Stop You'.

'The Black Parade' was the album that rocketed My Chemical Romance to mainstream success. It's a concept album exploring the imminent death of a cancer patient and was co-produced by Rob Cavallo who's best known for his work with Goo Goo Dolls and Green Day. It became a critical success with it's catchy tracks like 'Welcome to the Black Parade', 'Famous Last Words' and 'Teenagers', and went on to sell more than 3,000,000 copies worldwide.
