Michael Muhney, who starred on 'The Young and The Restless,' was fired from the television show for allegedly groping his co-stars.

The real-life soap opera began in December (2013) when the 38 year-old was unexpectedly let go from the show.

He announced the news on twitter on December 13th, posting, "I'm so sorry. It breaks my heart to say this, but I was just let go from Y&R. My last day on set is this Thursday."

Muhney played the role of 'Adam Newman'.

TMZ reports that the dismissal of the actor was down to one of his co-stars complaining to the show's executives about him touching her in inappropriate places.

20 year-old Hunter King, who pays 'Summer', claimed that Michael grabbed her breasts on two occasions and were both unwelcomed.

At the time of his firing, Muhney spoke to HuffPost Canada TV and, although he didn't admit or speak of any sexual harassment issues, he did seem to regret some of his behaviour while on the show.

When asked by Nelson Branco (the interviewer) why he thought the show's executives fired him, Muhney said, "part of me feels this is because I've always been outspoken, and sometimes I've been too outspoken."

Adding, "Sometimes I've walked around with a big backpack full of hubris. That is entirely on me. CBS, Sony, and Jill Phelps are not to blame for that. If I'm going to claim to be a grown man, I have to own that. But it could be financial or story."
