Martin Solveig used to steal toiletries from hotel rooms.
The 40-year-old French DJ has admitted he used to take ''as much'' as he could when he was staying in different residences when he was travelling as a keepsake, although he has since changed his ways because he thinks it is ''pretty pointless''.
He told Metro newspaper: ''I used to take more toiletries than I could've ever used but I soon realised it was pretty pointless.''
Although the 'Intoxicated' hitmaker has stopped the habit, he has revealed if he is staying in a luxurious resort in Italy where they have Acqua di Parma soap he will ''take as much as [he] can''.
He explained: ''That said, if I'm in Italy and a hotel provides Acqua di Parma soap, I'll take as much as I can.''
The musician will always travel with a stone statue of a woman sleeping, which he bought in Bali, because he finds it calms him.
He said: ''I have a statue I bought in Bali 15 years ago which has travelled with me to every different bathroom I've has through the years. It's a very peaceful statue of a woman sleeping but it's really heavy because it's made of stone. It makes me feel calm.''
Aside from the figure a run also helps the musician to stay grounded whilst touring.
He said: ''I run. Keeping fit is the balance element that I need while touring to hold me together. I;ll do about 5km first thing in the morning.''
