Having previously supported 'man of the moment' Mika, the London based singer-songwriter Luke Toms will be hoping to emulate his success with the release of his debut EP, Fools With Money.

Despite showing hints of David Bowie, Queen and Ben Folds, the first 3 tracks on this EP are reasonably forgettable, at least initially. Give these melodramatic bluesy pop songs time & and they really begin to come into their own. Luckily for the impatient listeners among us, final song (and the least theatrical effort) 'You Can Get Me There" is a beautifully melancholic pop song that has an instant likeability factor.

Overall, Luke Tom's Fools With Money is pretty good stuff, but it's clear this guy has his work cut out, especially when you consider that there are currently a good number of artists in this field already churning out much more memorable efforts.
