Fact: Paving stones featuring lyrics from Lostprophets song Streets Of Nowhere have been removed from a sidewalk in Pontypridd, Wales following frontman Ian Watkins' child sex abuse scandal. Local council officials had the street tribute removed, a year after they were laid down, after receiving complaints about its association with the disgraced rocker. He has pleaded guilty to a string of charges, including attempting to rape a baby, and is due to be sentenced on Wednesday (18Dec13).
Fact: Disgraced Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins will stand trial on 25 November (13) accused of 23 sexual offences involving children, including two charges of raping a baby. The 35-year-old singer denies all the allegations. An application to transfer the trial venue outside of Watkins' native Wales was denied.
