Rapper LL Cool J fought a burglar at his Los Angeles house, before detaining him until the authorities were able to make it and arrest the man, reports Reuters.
After stumbling across a burglar in his kitchen in the early hours of this morning, LL Cool J managed to wrestle the man, thought to be homeless, into a position whereby he could be detained and arrested upon the arrival of the Los Angeles Police. "There was a brief physical confrontation between the two," Cool J's spokesperson said. The man has not been released, and will be charged with burglary. "LL Cool J, and his family, are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern," his spokesman, Rhett Usry, said in a statement. "As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter," Usry said.
The recent vigilante may have honed his intruder fighting skills with his role on Ncis: Los Angeles, and the rapper/actor certainly put off any would be burglars trying any similar tricks. Born in Long Island, Cool-J has enjoyed a successful career in music, winning two MTV music awards, and two Grammy Awards, as well as numerous nominations from both bodies. He's also forged a successful on-screen career, mainly acting a hard-man cop role in Ncis and Hawaii Five-0.
