British model-turned-actress Lily Cole has impressed audiences and raised money for charity with a star turn in Kevin Spacey's annual theatre extravaganza in London.
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus beauty starred in a musical piece for The 24 Hour Plays event at the Old Vic theatre, where Spacey serves as artistic director, on Sunday (13Nov11).
Cole admits she was racked with nerves before taking to the stage alongside West End stars Janie Dee and Ruthie Henshall.
She tells London's Evening Standard, "If I had really thought about it logically it would have been so terrifying, I would have frozen. I just rolled with it. I had a really fun time. I didn't expect to be in that company. But I felt really, really honoured to get to work with these two women for a day."
The gala raised $240,000 (£150,000) for the upkeep of the theatre and its educational programs.
