The cast and crew of U.S. sitcom The Big Bang Theory paid tribute to their idol Leonard Nimoy during Thursday night's (05Mar15) broadcast.
The Star Trek legend, who died last week (ends01Mar15) at the age of 83, was often referenced by nerdy characters in the hit Tv show, and even provided his voice for an episode in 2012.
The comedy's end-credits are frequently reserved for a message from producer Chuck Lorre, but Thursday night's broadcast instead contained a black-and-white photograph of Nimoy with the caption, "The impact you had on our show and on our lives is everlasting."
Nimoy died at his home in Bel Air, California from complications of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
