The 30-year-old singer, who was raised in Hackney, has described her style as ''eclectic'' as she believes she has created her panache from cultures around the globe.
Asked to describe her sense of style, she said: ''It's quite eclectic. London has the best fashion in the world but I pick up things when I'm travelling and mix them together.''
The curly-haired beauty takes her style inspiration from British actress Thandie Newton, known for her roles in the 'Pursuit of Happyness', 'Mission Impossible II' and 'Crash.'
She told the Express newspaper: ''Thandie Newton [is my style icon.] She always looks demure and sophisticated.''
The former 'X Factor' star - who shot to fame after winning the TV show in 2006 - buys a lot of her clothes and accessories from the English brand Stella Mccartney.
She explained: ''I love Stella McCartney. I'm vegetarian and all her stuff is vegan, so I can buy her bags and her shoes and not worry about leather.''
She added: ''But I also shop at [highstreet stores] H&M and Topshop. It's all about mixing it up.''
