Leona Lewis doesn't want to get engaged at Christmas.

The 'Bleeding Love' hitmaker is very in love with boyfriend Dennis Jauch but wouldn't be happy if he asked her to marry him over the festive season as she would prefer to have a separate occasion to remember.

She explained: ''I wouldn't be happy if I got proposed to at Christmas. I want a separate celebration of the anniversary of when someone asked me to marry them.

''You need reasons for a party and a drink, so it needs to be at least two months either side.''

While Leona insists marriage isn't vital to her, she admits she keeps an online scrapbook of ideas for her ideal wedding.

She said: ''I'm not one of those 'I have to have a wedding' girls, though I used to be. But I do have a Pinterest for if I had a wedding, this is how it'd go ... it would be very quaint, small and intimate.''

And the 28-year-old singer insists she isn't feeling any pressure to tie the knot.

She said: ''My mum always used to [hassle me] but then she got married a few years ago and stopped, so I have no pressure, which is good.''
