Leighton Meester has confessed she only feels and looks her best if she gets a good night's sleep and always takes time to rest during her hectic schedule.
Leighton Meester says sleeping is vital to her ''emotional wellbeing''.
The former 'Gossip Girl' star has confessed she only looks and feels her best after a good night's rest and is always taking time out to relax during her hectic schedule.
She said: ''The most important aspect of emotional well-being for me is getting enough rest. I go to sleep and wake up early, and rest when I need, which is important in staying healthy when you have a hectic schedule.
''Stretching, staying hydrated and keeping my body in motion, even with a relaxing walk, is very equalising.''
The actress and singer, 28, added she has become ''less concerned'' with fashion trends and prefers to stick to her favourite wardrobe staples in order to feel comfortable at all times.
She said: ''Like anyone, I've gone through phases, but the biggest difference is that I'm less concerned with fashion for fashion's sake. I find that I'm happiest when I'm comfortable in my favourite key items, so I just add or subtract from my tried and true items to create a certain look.
''I like to experiment and change depending on mood, but comfort is most important to me.''
The brunette beauty - who was recently unveiled as the face of Jimmy Choo's SS15 collection - is a fan of LA's warm climate and enjoys throwing on light layers for a day at the beach.
She told Glamour magazine: ''The nicest thing about LA for me is the weather and proximity to the ocean. During the day, you could be at the beach or wearing summer clothes and be able to add layers like a sweater or light jacket for when it gets chilly at night.''
