Fact: Russell Brand has bought Laurence Olivier's first house in Los Angeles. The property, designed by noted architect Roy Selden Price in 1926, originally went on the market in 2010 with a £2.5 million (£1.7 million) asking price. After several price cuts Brand managed to scoop the five-bedroom house for $2.2 million (£1.4 million).
