Lance Bass is engaged to his boyfriend.

The *NSYNC star proposed to Michael Turchin - who he has been in a relationship since December 2011.

The 34-year-old singer announced the big news on his Twitter account on Sunday (01.09.13), and shared a photograph of the happy couple on Instagram.

He tweeted: ''He said YES!! Love this man. (sic)''

Reports of their engagement had emerged on Us Weekly, who revealed Lance asked for the permission of Michael's parents before asking for his hand.

The source added: ''They're such a great couple, everyone is so happy for them. Their friends and family are thrilled.''

The news caps off a great week for the star, who was recently reunited with his former band mates as part of Justin Timberlake's performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.
