Kim Kardashian West wishes she had given her romance with her husband Kanye West ''a shot sooner'' than she did because she could have saved herself a lot of ''BS'' and heartache.
Kim Kardashian West regrets not dating Kanye West sooner.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star - who is expecting her second child with her rapper husband - says their relationship is completely different than her previous marriages to ex-husbands Damon Thomas and Kris Humphries and she wishes they hadn't stayed in the friends zone for so long before embarking on a romance.
The 34-year-old superstar said: ''You know, the first one, I was a teenager, I was like, 'Oh s**t, my parents are going to kill me.' That was the thought that was going through my head - just young and dumb.
''Second time, you know, it's not even in the same sentence. There's just something [now] where I feel I'm so equal with my husband, like, 'This is my best friend.' And I think it helps that we were friends for so long and knew each other for almost 10 years.''
Kim - who already has two-year-old daughter North with the 'New Slaves' hitmaker - says she ''went through so many mistakes that must have hurt Kanye'' before they started dating in April 2012, especially her ill-advised decision to tie the knot with basketball player Kris in 2011, a union that lasted just 72 days of marriage.
Asked how her friendship with Kanye progressed into a romance, she told the July issue of America's Glamour magazine: ''There was flirting before, so it was obvious there was attraction, but there was a moment in my mind that clicked when I was like, I'm going to give this a shot. I was probably so tired of bulls**t in the past. I'd gone through a divorce six months before. And I was like, this guy has never bulls****ed me. He had made it clear that this is what he wants, why don't I give it a shot? I went through so many mistakes that must have hurt Kanye, watching me get married, knowing, that's not the right situation for you. So it was a great feeling when I was finally like, 'OK, this is it. My only regret is that I didn't give it a shot sooner. It would have saved so much BS. I feel like I got the fairytale. I should have had even higher expectations, because I got the fairytale.''
