Kim Kardashian West is considering dying her hair back to blonde after she gives birth.

The reality TV star - who is currently expecting her second child with her husband Kanye West - confessed she would love to return to the platinum hue she sported earlier this year but may have to wait a few months as the harsh dye has damaged her hair.

When asked by a fan on Twitter if she would go back to blonde this year, Kim said: ''not this year. I'm pregnant so can't. i loved it though so maybe in a year or two. it was so hard on my hair though. (sic)''

The 34-year-old beauty - who already has a two-year-old daughter North with the rapper - previously revealed she had wanted to get her hair dyed platinum blonde for ''a long time'' after being inspired by the Madonna.

She said: ''I've always had this image of Madonna with platinum hair in my references folder on my computer and I've been waiting a long time to try the look.''

However she soon switched back to raven-coloured locks after struggling to keep her roots in check and was forced to head to the salon twice for touch ups in just 14 days.

Alongside a photograph of herself in the hair dressers with blue bleach over her tresses she wrote: ''Being blonde is a full time job!''
