Kim Kardashian On Her Sex Tape, Caitlyn Jenner’s Secret & Briefly Living With O.J. Simpson

Kim Kardashian has revealed some pretty juicy details about her life, including discovering Caitlyn Jenner’s secret, her father’s relationship with O.J. Simpson and how Paris Hilton responded when Kardashian’s sex tape was leaked. Kardashian discussed these aspects of her life during an interview for the cover of next month’s Rolling Stone magazine. They’ve released a few excerpts of the interview before the issue is released on Friday (3rd July).

Kim Kardashian revealed some interesting details about her life in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.

Kardashian detailed how she discovered Caitlyn Jenner’s true gender identity. Jenner revealed her transitioned self earlier this year in Vanity Fair and is planning on showing the process of her transition in an upcoming reality series: I am Cait. It’s been an emotional time for the Kardashian-Jenner family, as we’ve seen on recent episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. However, Kardashian was already well aware of Jenner’s true identity as she had stumbled upon her step-father secretly dressed in women’s clothing. The incident occurred 12 years ago, when Kardashian was 22, yet Jenner would not fully address the issue.

"I was shaking," Kardashian said of finding Jenner dressed in women’s clothes. "I didn't know if I'd just found out his deepest, darkest secret, and he was going to come after me." Jenner called her on the phone a half hour later, and said, "One day, I'll talk to you about this. Until then, don't tell a soul."

It’s easy to forget, now that Kardashian’s family are primarily known for their media empire, that her father was a highly successful lawyer who defended O.J. Simpson. Simpson, who was acquitted from charges of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her lover in 1994, was a close friend of Kim’s father Robert Kardashian. When Robert decided to defend Simpson, it caused a rift within Kardashian’s family and she even ended up living in the same house as Simpson for a short time!

"It was surreal, with Johnnie Cochran and Robert Shapiro [Simpson’s other lawyers] and all these guys having meetings at my dad's house," Kardashian said of living in the same house as Simpson.

As for the rift, Kardashian’s mother Kris Jenner was adamant Simpson was guilty. Robert, on the other hand, “really believed in his friend”, and Kardashian took his side. As she’s not certain about Simpson’s innocence now, she just tries not to think about it.

Kardashian also addressed rumours about who leaked her infamous sex tape with Ray J. Even within the last week, her appearance in a sex tape has made headlines as someone at Glastonbury Festival attempted to shame Kardashian, as her husband Kanye West performed, by waving a flag featuring Kardashian in the tape. Kardashian explained how she was bound by confidentiality not to release the name of the person who leaked her tape, although she knows exactly who was responsible.

However, she claimed her friendship with Paris Hilton suffered as a result of the tape. Hilton’s own sex tape with then-boyfriend Rick Salomon had been leaked in 2003, four years before Kardashian’s, yet Hilton was not sympathetic as Kardashian had expected.

"I don't think she was that happy," Kardashian explained. "We didn't really talk about it. I probably would have thought, 'Oh, my gosh, let me give her advice,' but we had no communication. But our friendship had fizzled before that."
