Reality Tv star Kim Kardashian has taken aim at her husband Kanye West's critics after they attacked the rapper for allegedly demanding handicapped fans at a recent Australian concert stand up and dance.
The Stronger hitmaker incurred the wrath of disability rights campaigners Down Under over the weekend (12-14Sep14) after video footage emerged online showing the rapper singling out a fan in a wheelchair and demanding he get on his feet if he wanted West to continue with a show in Sydney on Friday night (12Sep14).
After realising his mistake, West said, "Is he in a wheelchair?... Ok, you (are) fine."
He subsequently attempted to brush off the controversy during Monday's (15Sep14) concert in Brisbane, insisting the press criticism of the gig misunderstanding only fuels his drive to succeed.
He told the crowd, "At my concerts I make sure everybody has good a time as possible. So all this demonising me, it ain't (sic) going to work after a while. Pick a new target, pick a new target. Cause I'm not one of these dumba** artists that you're used to."
Kardashian later shared footage of the show on Instagram.com and also lashed out at detractors for spreading false rumours about her new husband's alleged behaviour.
In the accompanying video caption, she wrote, "What an amazing Australian tour! Its (sic) frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media.
"Kanye never asked anyone in a wheel chair (sic) to stand up & the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up & dance Unless they were in a wheel chair."
