A California jury has ruled that 25 year old Shavaughn McKenzie is not guilty of stalking Kendall Jenner, following an incident at Jenner’s home two months ago.

A jury of seven women and five men returned the verdicts against McKenzie on Monday (October 24th), following a seven-day trial in Los Angeles, according to the L.A. Times. He was cleared of misdemeanour stalking, but found guilty of a count of misdemeanour trespassing.

During the trial, Jenner gave evidence about the incident on August 15th, in which she arrived home at her property in Hollywood Hills to find McKenzie sat in her driveway, someone she had encountered twice before at her previous home in Westwood.

He banged on her car window and refused to leave the property, which led her to make several panicked phone calls to friends while the authorities were on the way.

“I was crying, I was screaming, I was freaking out. I didn't know what his intentions were. I was freaking out. I was frightened for sure,” the 20 year old model and reality star told the court last week. “I never got out of my car. I was terrified. I was literally traumatized. I started honking at him and I just wanted to make sure I saw wherever he went. He got out of the gate and I drove down the hill.”

Jenner said that the ordeal had left her feeling insecure in her own home. “This is not how I want to be living. I really don't feel safe in my own house… I'm already the kind of person who's on edge.”

However, McKenzie’s attorney had urged jurors to reject the charges of stalking, saying that his client posed no danger and, while delusional, only wanted to talk to Jenner. He also claimed that Jenner’s lawyer was attempting to use his client’s celebrity status in order to gain a conviction.

McKenzie is set to be sentenced on November 11th, according to reports. He faces up to six months imprisonment for the trespassing conviction.
