Kelly Clarkson admitted she hasn't been enjoying pregnancy as she vomits ''a dozen times a day'' due to bad morning sickness.
Kelly Clarkson has been vomiting a ''dozen times a day'' due to morning sickness.
The 'Since U Been Gone' hitmaker is suffering from terrible first trimester ailments and while she is ecstatic to be expecting a child with her husband Brandon Blackstock, she hasn't had the easiest start to her pregnancy.
Speaking during an appearance on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' today (06.12.13), she said: ''I vomit a good dozen times a day. It's, like, bad. I vomited before coming out here and I had a peppermint so you didn't [know] ... I'm not even kidding, it's so bad. It's so bad. I know it's, like, so gross!''
Kelly - who is 11 weeks into her pregnancy - also admitted she has been feeling unattractive and is yet to see the alleged beauty benefits mothers are supposed to gain when carrying a child.
She explained: ''Everybody tells you [that] you glow and your hair is pretty and your nails are pretty. That's total crap! My nails are short, my hair still falls out - it's not all lush and beautiful - and I have no glow. Unless it's, like, something left over from a bad throw up. It's horrible.''
The 31-year-old star claims the upside of pregnancy is ditching alcohol as she is unable to handle her drink on boozy nights out.
Kelly laughed: ''It's weird. I'm not a big drinker, but if I am drinking, it's like I'm trying to win some award. It's really bad. It's like, 'I'm gonna get the drunkest! Who's holding my hair?' It's really bad. I'm not a good drinker.''
