Kelly Clarkson has opened up about her ''confusing'' wedding plans.

The 'Stronger' singer is set to marry music manager Brandon Blackstock very soon, but plans were put on hold after the couple decided to scale down the ceremony.

Asked by E! News if they were married yet, she said: ''OK, this is why it's confusing.

''I'm not married yet, because we had a wedding planned, like a huge one - and we still have a wedding planned, but we're not doing the big huge one.''

Instead, the pair will ''go off with'' Brandon's two children - Savannah and Seth - from a previous marriage and tie the knot in an intimate fashion.

She added: ''We're just gonna go off with the kids and go get married and it's just gonna be literally, seriously small.''

The 31-year-old star has also revealed details of her wedding dress after she was seen in both Marchesa and Monique Lhuillier gowns during the photoshoot used to announce their engagement.

She explained: ''Oh, yeah! I had that picked a while back ... It was between these three dresses that I picked and I used the other two for my engagement shoot that we did ... For my actual wedding dress, it's Temperley.''
