Fact: Actress-turned-talk show host Keke Palmer has landed a big deal with Island Records. The former child star is already in the studio working on a new album, and will host the record label’s Island Life all-star concert in New York next month (Sep15), which will feature performances by Nick Jonas, Shawn Mendes and Kiesza.

Fact: Former Disney star Keke Palmer has been cast in the upcoming live TV production of hit musical GREASE. The actress/singer will play Pink Lady Marty Maraschino, originally played by Dinah Manoff in the 1978 film. Palmer joins Vanessa Hudgens as bad girl Rizzo, and Footloose star Julianne Hough, who will take the lead as Sandy. Grease: Live is due to air on America's Fox network in January, 2016.

Fact: Actress Keke Palmer is adding talk show host to her resume with the launch of The Keke Palmer Project. The Tv star will discuss everything from fashion, pop culture and social issues on the daily programme, which will air on America's Bet network for a four-week run beginning in July (14).

Fact: Rapper Eve and Keke Palmer have been cast to lead Drew Barrymore's new horror movie Animal. The Charlie's Angels star will produce the made-for-cable Tv project through her Flower Films company, which she runs with new mum Nancy Juvonen. The film, which began shooting in Connecticut earlier this month (Jul13), will also feature Amaury Nolasco and Joey Lauren Adams.
