Kate Upton is ''always'' body-shy.

The 'Sports Illustrated' model may be known for her stunning figure but she has admitted she can find herself worrying about her insecurities.

When asked if she has ever been body-shy, she said: ''I always am! Well I am and I'm not at the same time. Every person has insecurities.

''But this is the body I was given, I appreciate it and I try to take care of it every day as best as I can, but I always enjoy my life. So I'm not going to let my insecurities stop me from enjoying life.''

The 22-year-old model also enjoys being a role model to young women, especially those who are suffering from self-esteem issues.

She added: ''I'm happy to be seen as a good example. If I can help girls who are going through body image issues, I think that's amazing.''

And whilst Kate admits she does have her vices - ''I like a theme night out, like Tequila Tuesday'' - she works hard to make sure she has the stamina to keep up with her modelling and acting career despite her love for fried food.

She added to ES magazine: ''For me it's about being strong, having the strength to work ten-hour days, and eating healthily ...

''I like fried salty food rather than sweet.''
