The 'Gangsta' singer was pulled in by cops in Miami, and apparently resisted arrest and cussed at the arresting officer
Kat Dahlia, the singer behind the track 'Gangsta,' was living up to the name of her hit single when she felt the long arm of the law early on Tuesday (30 July) morning whilst driving through Miami. As first reported by TMZ, singer was pulled by cops at around 3 a.m. in Miami, with cops initially pulling her over for a speeding offence, before the arresting police officer noticed a strong smell of alcohol coming from the vehicle.
According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, the singer was approached in her 2013 Nissan after being pulled over for breaking the speed limit. When the cops approached her, the vehicle reeked of booze, with the smell getting more intense with each step the cop took towards her. The report goes on to note that when she was first quizzed, her words were slurred and her breath stank of alcohol. The on-patrol cop then asked Kat to get out of her vehicle, at which point she became hostile and started throwing her weight around.
The report continues to detail her belligerent approach to the questioning, with the singer remaining hostile when asked to complete a field sobriety test. She refused and then began swearing at the police officer, at which point the cop decided to take her back to the station. Still unwilling to cooperate, Dahlia allegedly resisted arrest, refusing to put her hands behind her back. Eventually, she was put into the back of the police car and taken to the local station to be booked for DUI misdemeanour and for resisting arrest.
