Karrueche Tran doesn't know if she could ''handle'' getting back together with Chris Brown.

The couple had been dating on and off for a number of months when it was revealed the 'Loyal' hitmaker was the father to Nia Amey's daughter Royalty and Karrueche is reportedly worried about rekindling her romance with the star because she isn't sure what the future has in store for them.

A source said: ''Deep down, she just doesn't know what the future holds for them. Now that he has a child with another woman, she just doesn't know if she could handle it.

''Karrueche is getting a massive kick out of Chris chasing her at the moment. But because he's been so cocky, sending her messages and bragging to mutual pals that she will come running to him, she doesn't want to give him the satisfaction.''

And Chris, 25, is believed to have promised to make a commitment to Karrueche if she chooses to get back with him.

The insider added to HollywoodLife.com: ''He's desperately trying to work on himself. He's trying to get his life under control, not only for Karrueche, but for himself.

''He's going to be exceptionally patient with her and is willing to give her the time she needs.''
