The Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer and her husband Barnaby Clay have welcomed their first child into the world and Karen has announced their joyous news to her fans via an Instagram post uploaded on Sunday (27.09.15) showing her lovingly cuddling the newborn.
The rocker - whose real name Karen Lee Orzolek - revealed when she and Barnaby brought their bundle of joy home she played Roberta Flack's 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' and shared a moment of pure joy with her child.
Her post on the photo sharing site read: ''Shortly after we brought him home I held him in my arms and listened to Roberta Flack singing this tune I felt my heart exploding in my chest with a love I couldn't begin to put into words so Roberta's will have to do for now The first time ever I saw your face
''I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the endless skies, my love
To the dark and the endless skies (sic)''
No other details about the birth are yet to be revealed by Karen and Barnaby - who have been married for four years since 2011.
